Making a site private

Hide your site from search engines so that only people who have the link can access it

By default, your Prezly sites are public and appear in search results on platforms like Google. If you want to publish content that does not appear in public search results, you can easily do this by making your site private in your settings.

This can come in handy if you have sites with sensitive content, such as dark or crisis sites.

Your site's search engine visibility in Prezly

  1. From the site dashboard, click on SEO settings.
  2. Here you can toggle the Search engine visibility to make your site private.

💡Note: If you wish to make your site public again, simply return to the same SEO settings page and click on the toggle so it turns grey instead of green.
