Create contact lists using views
Save your contact lists as dynamic views
Where have my contacts segments gone? They are still there and now shown as more powerful contact views - see this changelog post or below for more details.
Contact views (previously known as segments) are saved sets of filters allowing you to view a subset of your contacts.
You can use any number of filters to create a view, and views are team level, meaning you can save something for everyone to use. A simple way of creating a view is by using contact tags to filter down contact lists.
Contact lists might be known as other things within your team such as contact lists, media lists, list views, contact views or contact segments.
You can create a contact view by adding filters to an existing view and saving to a new view, or creating an empty view and adding filters to that - it doesn't matter the order you do things in.
You can edit a view's filters by:
- changing it's filters and pressing save or
- clicking the '...' three dots next to it's name in the view's dropdown and clicking edit.

Views are always shown at the top of the screen above filters. We fit as many as we can on, then the rest are shown in a dropdown.

Either use filters, or use the search box to filter down a view.

There are three default contact views:
- All
- People
- Organisations
Click the star next to the view name at the top of the screen to favorite a view, which adds it to your sidebar. This is just for you, not shared across team members.

Anyone on your team who has permission to view and manage Contacts.
Yes – any new contacts matching your view filters will be added to that view automatically.
For example: if you had a tag "journalists" that was included in a view, and you added 20 more contacts and tagged them with the "journalists" tag, they would then appear in that view.
Yes you can in view settings. Either just for you or for your whole team.
