Invoicing & payment

Viewing and preparing your invoices

You can easily see the history of your account invoices and if there are any outstanding invoices in your account by accessing your Settings.

Access the Billing section to see your users/sites/contacts usage, set your billing contact details, add a Company VAT number, and set Payment details.

Click on your account name at the top left corner of your Prezly account, then select Settings from the dropdown menu. The main page will refresh showing you the different account settings. From here, scroll to the bottom and click on Invoices.

From this page, you can do the following:

  • Download current and past invoices
  • Add a Purchase Order (PO) number in your upcoming renewal invoice. This must be added before your subscription's renewal date, and you can enter this up to 30 days in advance of your invoice being sent
  • Download a quote for your upcoming renewal invoice

It's possible that you may not have user rights to access this page. For access, please speak with the member of your team responsible for managing your Prezly account.

If you have any outstanding invoices, you will see a pop up when you login requesting you to view the invoice. This pop-up also states how many days overdue the invoice is.

If you need to request a quote more than 30 days before the renewal of your subscription, please contact accounting@prezly.com and we'll be able to help you further.

Due dates

As per our Terms of Service, subscription fees will become due upon subscribing, at the moment of subscription or on your renewal date. Subscription fees are payable upfront on a monthly or yearly basis (based on the selected billing period) and are non-refundable.

There are two methods of payment; automatic credit card payments and manual (bank transfer) payments. Credit card payments are due on the day you sign-up / renew your subscription, and manual payment invoices (usually for annual plans) will have a 30-day due date unless otherwise agreed.

We understand that it can be quite easy to overlook an upcoming invoice. This is why we send your account owner a couple of reminders during the weeks leading up to your invoice due date. This also helps if you need to request a PO number from your accounting department.

Unpaid invoices

When an invoice isn't paid in time, you can lose access to your Prezly account temporarily, which means you risk not being able to send that important press release! If this happens, please contact support@prezly.com for help.

Credit card payments 💳

If a payment fails, we...

  • Send you an email to ask you to update your credit card.
  • Attempt to charge the updated card immediately. If successful, your account will stay active.
  • Always try to recharge it 4 times within 2 weeks. If we still are not able to charge you card after these 2 weeks, your access to your account will be blocked.

Manual payments 🏦

  • Ideally, every Prezly account that pays manually should pay before the due date of their invoice.
  • If you still haven't paid 30 days after the due date, you will be locked out of Prezly.
  • If you wish to cancel, please read further regarding our cancellation policy.

Changing your Prezly subscription

To view, change, or upgrade the plan you're on, go to Settings → Plans.

Cancelling your subscription

You are responsible for cancelling your Prezly subscription in good time. This means 5 days before renewal for monthly plans, and 30 days before renewal for all other plans.

You can cancel your license at any time by clicking on Cancel auto-renewal on the Billing page under Organization settings:

  1. From the drop-down menu on the top left, click Settings.
  2. Under Subscription & Billing, click Billing.
  3. Scroll down to the section Payment details and click Cancel auto-renewal.

You pay for your Prezly subscription in advance, so even when you cancel, you will still have access to Prezly up until the end of your latest paid-for billing cycle.

To understand what happens when you cancel your subscription with us, please refer to section 10 of Prezly's Terms of Service and Use.

There's no need to cancel trials. Trials you haven't activated expire automatically, with no action needed on your part.
