Templates & snippets
Keep your story formatting consistent and save time creating new stories.
Templates and snippets help you reuse content and keep your stories consistent. While both save time, they serve different purposes:
- Templates give you the structure for an entire story, like a press release or product launch
- Snippets are reusable content blocks you can drop into stories, campaigns, or pitches whenever needed
Story templates
Templates help you start faster and maintain consistency across recurring story types. Instead of rebuilding layouts from scratch, you can load a ready-made structure and focus on the content itself.
How to create templates
You can create, edit, or delete templates from Templates under More in the left-hand sidebar.
To create a new template:
- Select Templates from your sidebar navigation
- Click Create template at the top-right of the page
- Add your content to your template
- Give the template a clear name
- Click Save
Once saved, your entire team can use the template when creating new stories.
How to use templates
- Click Create story
- Choose a template from the options shown
- The story will open with your chosen template applied
- Edit, add, or remove content as needed

Templates can only be chosen when you first create your story. If you have repetitive, template-style content you want to use within stories, you can drop this in using snippets.
Snippets
Snippets are reusable blocks of content you can insert into any story, campaign, or pitch. They’re ideal for information you use frequently, such as boilerplates, product descriptions, disclaimers, or team galleries.
How to create a snippet
You can manage snippets from two places:
- Snippets under More in the sidebar
- Organization settings, via the Snippets card
To create a new snippet:
- Open the Snippets page
- Click Create snippet
- Add your content in the panel that appears
- Give the snippet a descriptive name
- Click Save
Snippets are available to your entire team when writing a story, a campaign, or a pitch.
How to use snippets
When writing a story, campaign, or pitch:
- Click the [+] button or type /snippets on a new line
- Search by typing the snippet name
- Click the snippet you want to insert
