Site activity & analytics

An overview of a site’s performance and all recent activity in stories and campaigns

The Activity & visitors page gives all Prezly users a high-level view of all recent activity by you (or your teammates) related to a site, like recent drafts and scheduled stories, recently sent campaigns, other latest changes made to the site, and site analytics.

What can I see in the Activity & visitors dashboard?

Recent activity

Under Recent activity, you can overview the site's more recently scheduled campaigns and stories, published stories and sent campaigns.

Clicking a sent campaign will take you to the campaign report for more details on recipients' open and click rates.

On the righthand side, you'll find a list of latest changes made to any type of content in your site, such as stories created and published, existing stories updated, new or edit media galleries, and more.

Visitor analytics

Below the recent activity, Visitor analytics shows you insights of how many people are visiting your site and stories.

Comparing sites in the grid

If you have more than one site in your account, you can get an overview and compare each site's visitor traffic, story content, communications sent, etc. from within your Sites grid. With our additional view settings, you have the ability to reorder, add, and hide column information depending on your team's workflow and preference.

Site analytics

With Prezly's Site analytics, you can get insights into how many people are viewing your stories with data powered by Plausible Analytics, an open-source project dedicated to making web analytics more privacy-friendly.

Each of your Prezly publications has its own analytics, which you can access from your site dashboard and from the Stories and Campaigns pages.

From your target site's Dashboard > Activity & Visitors page, scroll down to see your site's Visitor analytics section.

How far back can I see traffic data?

You will be able to see how many people visited your site from 20 August 2022 onwards.

What do Plausible Analytics' graphs mean?

Further description and assistance in interpreting your content's performance can be found in the Plausible Help Center.

What if I already have Google Analytics enabled for my site?

That's no problem at all – you'll simply be able to view both your usual Google Analytics and your new analytics area, powered by Plausible.

It's worth mentioning that the data shown within the two tools may differ, as many sites block Google Analytics from tracking visits. Plausible's published research into this phenomenon shows that your actual traffic may be 6% to 26% higher than what Google Analytics shows.
