Useful keyboard shortcuts to save you time
Speed up your workflow with these feature & formatting shortcuts.
Fast searching in the app
Cmd/Ctrl + K opens the global search. This searches across all your content (useful for navigating fast to stories and campaigns).
This also searches also our help center articles, so you can learn tips and tricks, and get to help faster. Once open you can filter by specific things, like stories or notes.
In grid views, Cmd/Ctrl + F allows you to search a view - helpful if you've filtered down already.
In the story editor
Text formatting shortcuts
- Cmd+Shift+1 (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+1 (PC) = Heading 1
- Cmd+Shift+2 / Ctrl+Shift+2 = Heading 2
- Cmd+Shift+3 / Ctrl+Shift+3 = Heading 3
- Cmd+Shift+0 / Ctrl+Shift+0 = Paragraph
- Cmd+Shift+8 / Ctrl+Shift+8 = Bulleted list
- Cmd+Shift+9 / Ctrl+Shift+9 = Numbered list
- Cmd/Ctrl + B for bold formatting
- Cmd/Ctrl + I for italic formatting
- Cmd/Ctrl + U for underline formatting
- Tab to increase list depth when in a ordered or unordered list
- Shift + tab to decrease list depth when in a ordered or unordered list
Embed shortcuts
- / in the editor opens the block menu, showing a list of different story blocks
- Bonus tip: if you then type the first two letters of the things you want to filter the story block list e.g. /im + Enter inserts an image block.
Functional shortcuts
- Cmd/Ctrl + Z to undo the last change
- Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Z to redo the last undo
- Cmd/Ctrl + X to "cut" text (delete the selected text from your story and copy it to your clipboard)
- Cmd/Ctrl + Enter to insert new row below selected block
- Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Enter to insert a new row above selected block
- Shift + Enter to insert a soft break
- Cmd/Ctrl + Backspace to delete a row (in some browsers)
No need to open the formatting menu – just type and go.

Composite characters
Need to add a special character to your story? There's a shortcut for that.
To use a composite character, like a trademark or copyright symbol, type the pattern and then type space. If you do not need to format you can press the `undo` hotkey (Cmd+Z or Ctrl+Z) and the original symbols will appear.

These patterns should have the start symbols and ending symbols applied either side, i.e. **bold**.
