Export stories
Download your stories from Prezly.
If you need to download your stories from your Prezly site, reach out to support through the chat bubble in the corner or by emailing support@prezly.com, and we'll be able to quickly help you out.
The export you get will be a zipped JSON file containing all of your story information, including references to images and embeds.
Converting your JSON export into PDFs
If you need your stories as PDFs, you can use your preferred AI agent to convert the JSON export file:
- Open your AI assistant, e.g. Claude or ChatGPT, in chat mode
- Drag and drop your ZIP or JSON file into the chat
- Copy-paste the following prompt into the same chat:
Convert all the press releases in this file to PDFs, keeping the text, images, and tables. Organize them by year and include an index so that they're easy to browse.
- Hit submit
The AI will return your exported stories as a series of PDFs.
If you have a large number of files to export, it's a good idea to ask the AI to convert a small sample of these first, so you can review them for formatting before it works through the full batch.
