Login details

Depending on your workflow, preferences, or team policies, Prezly provides you with different methods to access your account. These include email and password with 2FA, Sign in with Google, and Sign in using SSO.

Sign in with email and password

Let's you use an email address and password to access your account. Prezly has minimum requirements for password length, defends against brute-force attacks, and requires all users with a password to use 2FA to further safeguard their accounts (see below).

To reset and change your password, click Forgot password? on the Prezly login page.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

2FA security is enabled for email/password users. This prevents attackers from gaining access to your account when the password is leaked or brute-forced (trial-and-error attack).

When you log into Prezly, a message like the one below will appear asking you to input a 6-digit code:

By default, the 2FA code is sent to the inbox of the email address you use with Prezly.

For increased security, we recommend you update your 2FA settings to use an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, installed on your mobile phone.

Authenticator apps are more convenient and secure than using email verification as they quickly generate one-time passwords (OTP) directly on your device.

To pair your authenticator app with your Prezly account:

  1. Install an authenticator app installed on your phone
  2. Log into Prezly and navigate to your login settings
  3. Scroll down to Two-factor authentication
  4. Click Set up authenticator app

If you encounter login issues or want to switch sign-in preferences, please contact our support team.

Sign in with Google

Sign-in with Google is a service that allows users to sign in to third-party websites and apps (including Prezly) using their Google Account credentials.

This video from Google demonstrates how this sign-in method works:

For Google sign-in issues, please refer to their support page here.

Sign in using SSO

SSO is available for Enterprise Plan customers. Please contact support@prezly.com if you wish to know more.

Single Sign-On (SSO) is a system that allows users to access multiple applications or websites using a single set of credentials. Within Prezly, SSO means that the authentication of an Enterprise Plan user is outsourced to their organization's system.

  1. From the Prezly login screen, click on Sign-in using SSO
  2. In the next screen, enter the email address you use with Prezly then click on Sign in with SSO
  3. You will then be redirected to your organization's SSO verification page (please follow the steps as directed). Completing this will bring you into your Prezly account

For SSO issues, please work directly with your internal IT team. It will not be possible for a user under this arrangement to switch to any other method.

Email notifications

You can choose what emails you want to receive in email notification settings, like weekly roundups on site activity, campaign send confirmations and reports, and import and site subscriber notifications.

Date & time preferences

You can also change how dates and times are displayed within the Prezly platform, customized to your login seat.

Feature labs

You can explore any additional features in feature labs - this is where we often roll out beta features we are testing alongside things like contact salutation fields, and additional publishing states like Confidential and Embargo for stories.

Legal documents and data processing

This is where you can view and manage legal documents like data processing agreements.

FAQs

My authenticator app isn't working! What should I do?

We strongly advise that you refer to the app's support/help resources. If all else fails, our support team can help unpair your Prezly account from the authenticator app and return you to receiving codes in your email inbox.

What if I don't want to use an authenticator app?

By default, the 2FA code will be sent to the inbox of the email address you use with Prezly.

Why isn't the 2FA code appearing in my email inbox?

Your email provider or organization IT team might have applied additional screening steps, which may delay the delivery or have diverted the email elsewhere, e.g. your spam or promotions tabs. Kindly check in those locations or reach out to your IT team to resolve.
