The Student Hotel: A press release that covers all the bases

When The Student Hotel opened its first German location in Dresden, they kept the press release simple – and it works.

A bold, branded banner in TSH's signature yellow sets the tone before you've read a word. A large hero image follows, giving the story an immediate sense of place. From there, the release itself is broken into short sections with clear subheadings and bullet points where needed – making it easy to scan without losing the thread.

What rounds it out is the supporting detail: images, links, and a downloadable fact sheet are all included as assets at the bottom of the release, alongside a PR contact card so journalists know exactly who to follow up with. A company boilerplate and email subscription form in the footer tie everything together.

It's a textbook example of a press release that respects a journalist's time – giving them everything they need without making them hunt for it.
