How to use campaign reports to follow up on your emails.

Copy and resend a past campaign

To resend an email campaign that has already gone out, simply:

  1. Go the the campaign report of the campaign you wish to resend
  2. Click the Send again button in the top-right of the screen and choose either
    1. Duplicate campaign (creates a copy of the campaign that you may send to multiple recipients), or
    2. Send as a pitch (copies the contents of the campaign into a pitch email that may be sent to one recipient)
You can duplicate past campaigns through the campaign report page.

Email the recipients of a past campaign

A common scenario is that you want to send a campaign to the same set of contacts that you sent to previously.

Step 1. Click All recipients on a campaign report to view everyone who was sent that campaign.
  1. Go the the campaign report of the campaign whose recipient list you wish to copy
  2. Click on the All recipients tab
  3. Select all recipients using the select-all checkbox (Annotation 1 in screenshot below)
  4. Click the Email button that appears at the bottom of the screen (Annotation 2 in screenshot below)
  5. You will see a popup showing all the draft campaigns in your account – choose a draft campaign to add the selected recipients to, or click New campaign to add them to a fresh email
Steps 3 & 4: Select all contacts in a past campaign, and add them to a new campaign.

Tagging campaign recipients for follow-up

To tag the recipients of a previous campaign, follow steps 1–3 from the previous section, then instead of clicking Email at the bottom of the screen, click Tag.

You can use the same method to target different recipients for follow-up – for example, you could send a campaign offering additional or exclusive information to recipients in the Opened tab, since you know that they showed some initial interest in your story by opening the first campaign.

Following up 1-to-1

You can also follow up on a sent campaign or pitch when viewing your contacts.

You can follow up with individual contacts while viewing their Emails timeline.
  1. Select Contacts in the left sidebar and click the contact you wish to follow up with
  2. In the contact preview that appears, select the Emails tab
  3. Follow up on any email sent to them by selecting Send follow-up pitch

This opens a new pitch, pre-populated with the contents of the email that you are following up on and an "Re:" subject line, so that this new pitch will appear as a chained reply in the recipient's inbox:
