Deactivate Newsroom Language
Disable a locale, supplying a replacement when required.
Personal token scopes: sites:write. Your account must also have access to the requested data. Authentication
The only enabled locale cannot be removed. Removing the default or a locale with stories requires a different replacement; stories move to that code rather than being translated.
Note: replacement payload parameter is required when:
- When the language being deactivated is the newsroom default language. The given
replacementlocale code will become the new default language. - When the language being deactivated has stories attached. All the stories will be moved to the given
replacementlocale.
The only remaining language cannot be removed. A replacement must differ from the removed locale. Replacing a default changes the default; linked stories move to the replacement locale. This does not copy company information as a code migration does.
Personal access tokens: sites:write. Every listed scope is required; the token owner's permissions, feature availability and newsroom access still apply.
API_keyAuthorizationBearer <token>Bearer authentication using an integration API key, or a personal access token only where the operation explicitly supports it. Every listed personal-token scope is required; owner permissions and newsroom access still apply.
