New user interface

Today, we release a major update. Using Prezly should be simpler now. More intuitive.

With the team we completely reviewed the press release management system. We went back to the drawing board and tried to make the system more user friendly. Now you can use breadcrumbs, context sensitive menus and a much more consistent interface. The look and feel is also simpler so you can focus on getting things done.

There are some images below of the new layout. Or try it out for yourself by signing up or in.

New layout coming up

Big changes are coming up.

The past weeks we have been redesigning the complete backend of Prezly. The main goal was to create a more usable system: the administration pages are much more consistent now and have more navigational aids to help you move around.

We are also optimizing the code to make sure the pages load even faster.

The main structure of the administration pages remains mostly the same. Fear not. You won’t have any trouble using Prezly as you have been. It will be even easier.

Expect the new layout very soon. We are fine-tuning it now and making it more sexy. Below you’ll see some screenshots. Feel free to provide feedback.

Detailed reporting is here

Your browser refresh button is going to suffer hard from now on. We just released a mayor update to reporting in Prezly – showing live information about your contacts behaviour. It will be hard to refrain yourself from hitting the refresh button, waiting for new tweets and incoming links to show up.

We decided to invest more in reporting because measuring the impact of your press releases has always been a main goal of Prezly. We want your communication to be effective. So as from today clients with a medium or large account can immediately see on their dashboard what the response is to their press release emails.

The reports section has also had a complete overhaul: clients can see in more detail what the recent activity has been of their contacts. They can see who opened their emails. Who clicked to see the press release and who clicked which link. They can also see who tweeted about their press releases.

It doesnt stop there. More updates to the whole reporting section are in the making. We are working on improved integration of your contacts and of Google Analytics. We decided to already release this version of the reporting as it is a big step step forward for all our clients.

As always – we’re open for feedback on how to further improve. Just drop us a line.

Prezly is out of beta, pro plans are available

We are happy to announce that Prezly has fully launched. It has been over a year since we launched our beta testing and in that time we have radically improved the service in terms of speed, stability and possibilities. Thanks to the cooperation of our beta testers we now are ready to remove the beta flag and to present our professional subscriber plans with extra possibilities.

The core functionality of Prezly remains free. There will always be a free plan that allows you to create and track your press releases. Users that want to seize all the benefits of social media press releases can sign up for pro plans with extra functionality:

  • Autoposting: automatically publish your press releases on your Twitter, Facebook or blogs.
  • Campaigns: distribute and track your press releases via email.
  • Multilanguage support: create your pressrelease in different languages. Translations only count as one press release.
  • Domain mapping: incorporate Prezly in your own website. For example use http://press.yourcompany.com
  • Templates: have your press room in your own branding. If you decide to switch to a pro plan now, we’ll do the styling for you, free of charge. This promotion is valid until the end of February. Contact us for more info about a custom template.

You can read all the details about the subscription plans on our pricing page:

In the below screencast Jesse guides you through the process of signing up for a professional plan.

What’s coming up

Our beta testers have been requesting a lot of features, we note down every single feature request. But we can”t implement everything, this is a quick update to let you know what’s in the pipeline:

  • Multilangual support for press releases
You will be able to select a language for each press release as well as the default language for your account.
This way your pressroom won’t contain press releases from different languages.
  • Better Press Contact handling
Currently a contact can only belong to one group, we know this is wrong. That’s why we’re completely rethinking the press contacts, you’ll be able to add tags to contacts and select them when you’re creating a campaign. Much more logical, much easier.
  • CSV importer for contacts
    We heard ya’ !
  • Secret URLs
You don’t want to publish your press release, but want to email it to a colleague for a spell check? Well this will be possible using secret URLs.

We can’t give an exact ETA but expect these features soon. We’ll keep you posted.

If you have feature requests, don’t hesitate to contact us via support@prezly.com or here in the comments.
