Integrate your press releases in your website with our press room widget

We heard you loud and clear. You wanted an easy way to integrate an overview of press releases in your own website. Well you’ve got it. From now on you can implement our press room widget on your corporate website, just by pasting 2 lines of code in your HTML.

These are the latest press releases from our client Boondoggle:

This is achieved just by placing this code here:

<script src="http://boondoggle.prezly.com/widget/javascript?lang=EN&limit=3" type="text/javascript"></script>
<div id="prezly-pressroom-container"></div>

The listing of your press releases adapts itself automatically to the layout of your website.

Here’s an image of how you can get the widget code. It’s easy. Just choose how many releases should be listed. If you use multiple languages, you can also choose to include only press releases in a specific language.

Email campaigns are now more complete and easier to create

We’re constantly reviewing Prezly and looking for areas to improve our service. One part that we wanted to tackle for a long time is the emails that you can send to your contacts. They are very important because they are oftentimes the very first step in getting your stories out. A good email can make or break your release.

Together with certain clients we brainstormed, prototyped and created a new solution that’s both more complete and easier to create.

Your complete story is in the email

We used to show only previews of the images in your email. That approach turned out to be too limited. Now, all your media assets are listed in the email. Images, videos, attachments,.. This way your recipients immediately know which assets they can use to retell your story.

While we were at it we also pushed some pixels around to make the generic email design look even prettier.

Composing is easier

Before, when composing an email, you needed to select the images that you wanted to attach previews of. That design decision didn’t make much sense anymore. Why would you only show a few assets when you have many more, making your message more interesting to retell? Also, because we wanted to allow you to show more content (video, attachments, contacts) it would’ve become a tedious process to choose for each asset whether you wanted to include it or not. It would’ve made the workflow unnecessarily difficult. That’s why all assets are listed automatically in your emails from now on.

Give emails a try

Sending out emails to connect with your contacts is a feature available for professional users of our service with minimum a medium plan. When you send out emails you can easily track the behavior of your contacts: who opened you email? Who clicked to view more info on your press room? Who unsubscribed? This is one of key benefits of Prezly that allows you to be more efficient in your Public Relations. Aren’t you a professional user with a medium plan? Then be fast and get a taste of integrated email campaigns. The 10 first people to email us at support@prezly.com will get a one month upgrade of their plan so they can start connecting with their contacts even more efficiently.

Twitter integration

A while ago we decided to focus on integrating Twitter into Prezly, Twitter has become an important seeding and conversation medium for our customers.  This is a quick update on how we currently integrate with Twitter.

1. Display related conversation on your public press release

2. Link a press contact with a twitter account, automatic discovery of twitter account based on the name of your press contact.

3. See if a contact actually tweeted about your press releases

Following features are in the pipeline:

  • See if a press contact follows you on Twitter
  • See how many followers a press contact has
  • Get in touch with a contact via Twitter.

More control over your press release layout

All press releases in Prezly used to have the same structure: texts and image in the left column and video’s, related conversations, links, attachments and contact info in the right. That solution wasn’t optimal for all releases because it could result in unbalanced layouts. That’s a problem of the past.

You now have control of where you place most of your content blocks. You do this by clicking the right position when you are creating or editing a press release.

Enjoy!

Detailed reporting is here

Your browser refresh button is going to suffer hard from now on. We just released a mayor update to reporting in Prezly – showing live information about your contacts behaviour. It will be hard to refrain yourself from hitting the refresh button, waiting for new tweets and incoming links to show up.

We decided to invest more in reporting because measuring the impact of your press releases has always been a main goal of Prezly. We want your communication to be effective. So as from today clients with a medium or large account can immediately see on their dashboard what the response is to their press release emails.

The reports section has also had a complete overhaul: clients can see in more detail what the recent activity has been of their contacts. They can see who opened their emails. Who clicked to see the press release and who clicked which link. They can also see who tweeted about their press releases.

It doesnt stop there. More updates to the whole reporting section are in the making. We are working on improved integration of your contacts and of Google Analytics. We decided to already release this version of the reporting as it is a big step step forward for all our clients.

As always – we’re open for feedback on how to further improve. Just drop us a line.
